Sutton Foster, an actor as well as a singer and dancer, has appeared in eleven Broadway productions and the most recent production of Violet. She has also played lead roles on Broadway as a singer, dancer and actor in The Drowsy Chaperone and Little Women. Her Tony Award winning performances include Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Young Frankenstein. She was first seen on television on Star Search at age 15 She has also appeared in Bunheads, Psych, Johnny and the Sprites, Flight of the Conchords, Sesame Street, Law and Order SVU as well as Royal Pains. Sutton Foster is a soloist who has performed in the United States and abroad along with Michael Rafter. They have performed songs from her debut album "Wish" and the follow-up CD, An Evening With Sutton Foster Live At The Cafe Carlyle. Ball State University conferred her with an honorary doctorate in the year 2011. As well as being an instructor and advisor within the Department of Theatre and Dance, she was also awarded this degree by Ball State University. Since March, 2015, she has been playing the role of "Younger" in TVLand, a new show produced by Darren Star.
